For over 39 years, Raymond J Martin, CPA, the firm's owner has been providing quality, personalized accounting services to local individuals and businesses. Our expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as individual, business and estate tax planning, financial statements and other business and personal planning services.
We are one of the leading firms in and throughout Northern New York State. By combining our expertise, experience and the team mentality of our staff, we assure that every client receives the close analysis and attention they deserve. Our Team
Raymond J Martin - Owner of the firm
Graduated in May 1977 with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from the State University College of Brockport, Brockport, New York. Ray became a Certified Public Accountant on September 18, 1981. He has been practicing in public accounting since December of 1977. He is a member of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He formed Raymond J Martin, CPA in January of 1995 after many years of partnership with the firm of Sweeney and Martin, CPA.
Andrea O'Neill - Staff Accountant
Andrea graduated in May of 1985 with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from the State University College at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, New York. Andrea has been working with the firm and it's predecessor since 1985. Andrea specializes in small business tax consulting and planning and computerized accounting system design and implementation for the firm's clients. She has extensive knowledge in QuickBooks accounting software and business and individual taxation and financial statement presentation.
Catharine Shaheen - Staff Accountant
Cathy has been with the firm and its predecessor since August of 1989. She initially began her career with the firm in bookkeeping, sales tax, payroll tax and accounting and has since developed the accounting skills necessary to guide our clients in the areas of small business taxation, individual taxation, computerized accounting system design and implementation utilizing QuickBooks accounting software and financial statement preparation.
Brian Dukett - Staff Accountant
Brian graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University College at Oswego, Oswego New York. Brian worked for an accounting firm in Watertown, New York after graduating from SUNY Oswego, and joined our firm in October of 2011. Brian specializes in small business taxation, individual taxation, and computerized accounting system design and implementation utilizing QuickBooks accounting software.
Kelly Fleury - Staff Accountant
Kelly graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University College at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, New York. She has been with our firm since December of 2010. She specializes in management and administration of Homeowner Associations, individual taxation, small business taxation and computerized accounting system design and implementation utilizing QuickBooks accounting software.
Joanne Snyder- Staff Accountant
Joanne graduated in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the State University College at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, New York. She has been with our firm since October of 2016 and is working in the areas of personal and business tax preparation, QuickBooks accounting and bookkeeping among other areas of general accounting services.
Jay graduated in December 2016 with an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, New York. Jay is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting while working full time for the firm. Jay began with the firm in May of 2015 and works in the areas of personal tax preparation, payroll administration, bookkeeping and client business management.
Lori J. Martin - Administrative Staff and Secretary
Lori has been with the firm since inception providing administrative, managerial and secretarial services to the firm. Lori graduated in January of 1999 with a B.S. in Psychology from the State University College of Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, New York.
Gina Bell - Office Manager and Secretary
Gina joined the firm in 2009, bringing with her many years of valuable business administration and managerial experience. Gina specializes in bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax services.
Toby - Firm Goodwill Ambassador
Toby is a 13 year old golden retriever that brightens up everyone's day and provides stress relief and humor to the office.
Bertie - Firm Official Greeter
Bertie is a 3 year old English Cream golden retriever who comforts clients and staff with her attractive personality and striking good looks.
